Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process Overview
If you’re between 17.5 and 21 years old, you can apply for the Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2024. Only the shortlisted candidates will be selected to join the armed forces under this scheme. The Agneepath Scheme in the Indian Armed Forces provides the chosen candidates with a chance to serve as Agniveers for a four-year period.
Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process
The Indian Army has introduced the Agniveer scheme for recruiting candidates, and Army Agniveer selection will be based on their performance in three stages: the Common Entrance Exam, Physical Fitness Test, and Medical Test/Document Verification. To qualify for the recruitment, candidates must excel in all of these stages and get enough marks to clear the Indian Army Agniveer Cutoff. Here, We will provide a detailed explanation of different phases of Agniveer Recruitment 2024.
Army Agniveer Recruitment process consists of two phases: Phase I involves an Online Common Entrance Exam conducted at Computer Based Test Centres across India, while Phase II consists of a Recruitment Rally held at the designated Rally Venue. The final stages include Document Verification, Medical Examination, and finally a Merit List.
Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process 2024 Common Entrance Examination
Indian Army Agniveer Common Entrance Examination is consisted of below provided components –
✅The Army Agniveer Recruitment online test consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
✅The number of questions and duration of the test depends on the category of the application.
✅Candidates may have to answer 50 questions in one hour or 100 questions in two hours.
✅For every wrong answer, 25% of marks will be deducted (negative marking).
✅Unattempted questions will get no marks.
✅Every correct answer will be awarded full marks.
✅All attempted questions, including those marked for review, will be considered for evaluation.

Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process 2024 Physical Standard Test
Below are the requirements for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) in terms of Height, Chest, and Weight. It is important for the candidate’s weight to be proportionate to their height.
Army Agniveer Physical Fitness Test (For Females)
The Physical Fitness Test for female candidates consists a series of components designed to assess their endurance, speed, and agility. One of the key elements is the 1.6 Km Run, a test of cardiovascular fitness and stamina.
Female candidates falling within Group I are required to complete the 1.6 Km Run in a time not exceeding 7 minutes and 30 seconds. In contrast, those in Group II must finish within 8 minutes. This distinction reflects the varying fitness standards for different groups.
Additionally, candidates are evaluated on their Long Jump, where they must achieve a distance of 10 feet to meet the qualification criteria. The High Jump requirement involves clearing a bar set at 3 feet, demonstrating their explosive power and flexibility.
It is mandatory for candidates to successfully clear both the Long Jump and High Jump to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test.
Moreover, recognizing the diverse geographical terrains where the test may be conducted, there is a provision for additional time in hilly areas. For altitudes ranging between 5000 Ft to 9000 Ft, an extra 30 seconds are added to all prescribed timings. Similarly, for altitudes between 9000 Ft to 12000 Ft, an additional 120 seconds are allotted to accommodate the challenges posed by elevated terrains.
Indian Army Agniveer Selection Process 2024 Medical Test
Only applicants successfully advancing through the initial two rounds will be considered eligible for this stage. Upon qualification, candidates are required to present themselves at the designated Military Hospital within 5 days of referral. The medical test, conducted by the Military Hospital in accordance with policy, is expected to be completed within 14 days. The Indian Army retains the authority to conduct the following tests to assess the fitness of candidates:
✅Blood Haemogram: Includes assessments for Hemoglobin (Hb), Total Leukocyte Count (TLC), and Differential Leukocyte Count (DLC).
✅Urine RE/ME: Examination of urine for diagnostic purposes.
✅Biochemistry: Comprehensive analysis of biochemical parameters.
✅Blood Sugar Fasting & PP: Testing fasting and postprandial blood sugar levels.
✅Serum Cholesterol: Measurement of cholesterol levels in the serum.
✅Urea, Uric acid, Creatinine: Evaluation of urea, uric acid, and creatinine levels.
✅LFT (Liver Function Tests): Involves testing Serum Bilirubin, Serum Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase (SGOT), and Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (SGPT).
✅X-Ray chest (PA view): Radiographic examination of the chest in the Posteroanterior view.
✅ECG (R): Electrocardiogram focusing on the R wave.
✅Tests for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Abuse: Specific screenings to detect the presence of narcotic drugs and assess potential substance abuse.
Upon the successful Completion of all stages in the Agniveer Selection Process, the Indian Army will compile and release the final merit list 2024. This comprehensive list will consist the names of candidates who have showed exceptional performance and successfully cleared all phases of Indian Army.
